Rafał Rozmus

Rafał Rozmus is a Professor at the Department of Musical Education and Instrumental Pedagogy within the Faculty of Arts at the University of Maria Curie-Skłodowska (UMCS) in Lublin, Poland. He earned his PhD in Musicology in 2012 and habilitation in 2022 from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Bydgoszcz. Rozmus specializes in conducting, composition, and instrumental pedagogy, with studies under Zofia Bernatowicz, Kazimierz Górski, and Andrzej Nikodemowicz.

His research and creative work focus on atonal music composition, theatrical and film scoring, and instrumental pedagogy. Notably, he developed the Numerical Method of Composing Atonal Music (2002) and composed scores for over 40 films, including the international production Discovering the Vatican (2003) and the feature film Tryptyk Rzymski (Roman Triptych), alongside theatrical works staged in Poland and abroad.

Rozmus has received significant recognition for his contributions, including:
