Radu Gheorghe Handru

Radu Gheorghe Handru serves as University Lecturer in the Department of Sculpture at the University of Art and Design Cluj-Napoca since 2024, following his tenure as Assistant Professor (2020-2024). A member of the Union of Visual Artists of Romania, his career spans over three decades of sculptural practice and academic engagement.

International collaborations through Kunstforum Waldviertler (Austria) and Kunstmuseum Schrems exhibitions demonstrate cross-cultural engagement in sculpture camps and thematic projects like Garden Eden and Wunderwald.

Professional activities include extensive exhibition history since 1999, featuring Heroes Monuments in multiple communities and busts of cultural figures including Avram Iancu, Emil Racoviță, and Onisifor Ghibu. His work consistently engages with local identity through permanent public installations while maintaining active participation in international sculpture symposia.
