Dr. Radhika Lu Sundararajan is a board-certified emergency medicine physician and Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College, Cornell University. She practices at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical Center and NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital, with a focus on global health research in sub-Saharan Africa.

Dr. Sundararajan's research spans two decades, combining emergency medicine with implementation science to address healthcare disparities in low-resource settings. Her work emphasizes social determinants of health, HIV testing, hypertension management, and the role of traditional healers in healthcare systems across Uganda, Tanzania, India, and Haiti. She has pioneered community-based interventions involving traditional healers and health workers to improve public health outcomes.
Her research has been funded by the National Institute of Mental Health, National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, and American Heart Association. Current projects include effectiveness-implementation trials for HIV self-testing and gestational diabetes screening in underserved regions.
