Rachele Marongiu Duke is a Lecturer in Italian at the University of New Mexico. Her research spans Classics, Medieval Latin, and Bronze Age archaeology, with a focus on biblical commentaries, Medieval Latin manuscripts, and the migrations of the Sherden (Sea Peoples) from the Caucasus to the Mediterranean. She also explores connections between Minoan, Etruscan, and Western Mediterranean cultures.

Her scholarly work includes editing Medieval Latin manuscripts and analyzing biblical commentaries from Ireland, Germany, and Italy. She is currently writing a book on the Sherden's migrations and the undeciphered Etruscan language.
Her 1977 article, "Five 11th Century Letters from the Codex Diplomaticus Sardiniae," highlights her expertise in Sardinian historical documents and Medieval Latin epistolary traditions.
