Rachel Walker

Rachel Walker serves as Artist Faculty for Oboe at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, National University of Singapore. She maintains an active dual career as both an educator and professional performer with international orchestral and chamber music engagements across Europe and Asia.

Her educational foundation includes:

• Chetham's School of Music (England) for joint first study in piano and oboe
• Bachelor's degree in Music from the University of Cambridge
• Postgraduate oboe studies at the Royal Academy of Music under Celia Nicklin and Douglas Boyd

Specializing in woodwind performance pedagogy, Ms. Walker's expertise integrates practical orchestral experience with technical instruction. Her teaching methodology emphasizes repertoire development from Baroque to contemporary works, informed by decades of principal chair experience in major ensembles and collaborations with renowned artists including Yo-Yo Ma.
