Rachel Sowray is a Pro Tem Instructor at the University of Oregon School of Law, concurrently serving as a Special Assistant United States Attorney in Portland, where she prosecutes benefits fraud and white collar crimes. Previously, she worked as a Deputy District Attorney at the Washington County District Attorney's Office, focusing on domestic violence and stalking cases. She holds a B.A. from the College of William & Mary, an M.P.P. from George Washington University, and a J.D. from the University of Oregon.
Her professional expertise spans criminal law, policy analysis, and legal advocacy. Prior to law school, she engaged in domestic policy work for elected officials in Washington, D.C., blending her analytical background with legal practice. Her current roles reflect a commitment to public service and justice system reform.
