Rachel Sidebothom is the Interim Chair and Assistant Professor in the Music, Worship & Performing Arts department at Lancaster Bible College. She also serves as Director of Music Education Studies and Oboe Instructor. Her roles include teaching music education, music theory, and courses for the Education Department. She holds a MEd from Pennsylvania State University (2012) and a BS in Bible from Lancaster Bible College (2002), with PA Level II certification in Music Education.
Her professional experience includes serving as instrumental music director and Fine Arts Department Chair at Lancaster Christian School (2002–2011) and director of handbell choirs at Westminster Presbyterian Church (2010–2014). She maintains a private music teaching studio and performs as an oboist in Central PA with ensembles and orchestras.
Her educational philosophy emphasizes music as a divine gift for glorifying God and fostering community. She advocates for holistic music education, blending theoretical knowledge with practical performance.
