Dr. Rachel Pizzie is an Assistant Professor in the PhD in Educational Neuroscience (PEN) Program at Gallaudet University. She directs the Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience (CAN) Lab, studying emotion's role in learning, neural responses, and educational outcomes. Her work emphasizes math anxiety, STEM education, and language acquisition in deaf and hard-of-hearing populations. She coordinates the PEN Cognitive Neuroscience Summer Lab Rotations, offering global lab experience to students.
