Professor Rachel Moss is a historian of medieval art and architecture at Trinity College Dublin, specializing in medieval Ireland (c.400-1600). She holds a professorship in the Department of the History of Art and Architecture within the School of Histories and Humanities. Her research bridges architectural history with the social context of medieval art, focusing on Insular manuscripts, monastic architecture, and the evolving interpretation of medieval objects. Recent projects include funded studies on Irish late medieval monastic structures and collaborations on Insular manuscript culture.
Her teaching encompasses Insular art, early medieval European art, and late medieval Irish architectural history.
