Rachel Huang is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Applied Finance at Macquarie University. Her research focuses on empirical corporate finance, financial institutions, and emerging markets, with particular expertise in credit rating agencies, information asymmetry, and economic policy uncertainty.
- Education: PhD in Finance from RMIT University
Rachel's research explores critical themes in corporate finance, including bond pricing mechanisms, antitakeover provisions, and the role of gatekeepers in financial markets. She investigates how institutional factors, geographic information environments, and policy frameworks influence corporate debt structures and investor behavior.
Rachel has published extensively on Chinese financial markets, including studies on CRA reputation effects, corporate governance challenges, and behavioral finance phenomena. Her work appears in journals like the British Accounting Review, Accounting & Finance, and Journal of Banking and Finance.
