Rachel Hanus is an Adjunct Professor of Nurse Midwifery at Bethel University's Graduate School, specializing in the Nurse-Midwifery (M.S.) program. She joined Bethel in 2022. Her clinical expertise spans home birth, birth center, and hospital settings, with a focus on functional medicine in women's health and improving midwifery care accessibility.
Education: B.S.N. from University of Iowa (2010), M.S.N. from Bethel University (2017).
Research interests include integrative medicine for women's health, infertility, and expanding access to midwifery services. She co-founded a non-profit in 2013 providing transitional housing for homeless pregnant women in the Twin Cities.
Courses taught include Pharmacology and Women's Health. Certifications: APRN (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse).
Current practice: Minnesota Birth Center. Advocates for functional medicine integration in obstetrics and marginalized populations' healthcare access.
