Dr. Rachel Hale is a Researcher at Cardiff University's School of Social Sciences, with a focus on health, sustainability, and digitalization. She concurrently serves as a Senior Research Associate at the University of Bristol's School of Medicine. Her work includes leading projects like ALCHIMIA (AI in European steel production) and EXPO-ENGAGE (air quality citizen science). She holds a PhD in Sociology and Health from the University of Nottingham, alongside an MSc and PGCE in Education. Hale has extensive teaching experience in social and health sciences, mentoring students across disciplines.
Her research spans the sociology of healthcare, science and technology studies, and environmental policy.
