معرفی
Rachel Germain is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Zoology at the University of British Columbia's Faculty of Science. Her research program investigates ecological and evolutionary mechanisms underlying species coexistence in spatially structured landscapes.
Her work integrates contemporary ecological theory with empirical approaches to understand how dispersal, environmental gradients, and species interactions shape biodiversity patterns. Current projects explore spatial scaling of ecological processes, demographic responses to habitat boundaries, and theoretical frameworks for competitive interactions.
Dr. Germain mentors graduate students including advisee Megan Szojka, and leads a research group publishing on topics spanning community ecology, evolutionary theory, and landscape-scale biodiversity dynamics.
