Rachel E. Gartner is an Assistant Professor in the School of Social Work at the University of Pittsburgh. Her research focuses on violence prevention, discrimination, and health outcomes for minoritized populations, emphasizing intersectional approaches to address systemic inequities. She holds a BA in Psychology and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, an MSW in Mental Health from Washington University in St. Louis, and a PhD in Social Welfare with a Designated Emphasis in Women, Gender, and Sexuality from UC Berkeley.
