Rachel Byrne

Rachel Byrne is a researcher at Trinity College Dublin's School of Natural Sciences, affiliated with the Marples Lab Group. Her work focuses on parasitology, particularly helminth parasites in Irish badgers, funded by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine.

• Education: BSc in Tropical Disease Biology from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.

Rachel's research explores parasite communities in Irish badgers, analyzing trends related to host factors like age, sex, and weight. She previously investigated molecular diagnostics for malaria in the UK, highlighting gaps in disease research.
