Rachel Brandwein is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Music at St. Olaf College. An accomplished harpist, composer, and educator, she has performed extensively in the U.S., Ireland, Taiwan, and China, including solo appearances with the Minnesota Orchestra and Luther College Symphony Orchestra. She is a recipient of multiple awards and grants from Mu Phi Epsilon, the American Harp Society, and the American String Teachers Association, and has toured nationally as a concert artist with Trio Matisse and other ensembles.

Rachel’s research and creative work spans harp composition, chamber music collaboration, and innovative pedagogy. Her compositions, such as Introduction, Theme, & Variations and Suite de Nature, have been performed at institutions like the University of Michigan and Interlochen Center for the Arts. She frequently performs with organist Dr. Aaron David Miller, premiering co-written works like Harp String Pipe Swing.

As an educator, she mentors students in artistic confidence-building and has produced the album String Motifs. Rachel performs regularly with ensembles like Trio Matisse and the National Lutheran Choir.
