Rachel Booth is a Senior Lecturer at London Metropolitan University within the School of Social Sciences and Professions. She leads the Primary 3-7 PGCE courses and apprenticeships, serves as the Primary English Lead, and advocates for inclusive schools and transformative education. Rachel is a regional representative for the United Kingdom Literacy Association (UKLA) and has extensive experience in mentoring trainee teachers.

Rachel has over 20 years of teaching experience in inner London schools, where she held leadership roles such as Key Stage Lead, Phase Lead, and Senior Leadership. She also served as a governor in an inner London comprehensive secondary school. Her responsibilities include tutoring, mentoring, quality assurance of placements, and supporting trainee teachers in academic and practical settings. Additionally, Rachel previously worked as a designer, co-leading product development for the global brand Bang On The Door™ and designing London Underground licensed stationery.
