Rachel Aghara is an Associate Professor at Merrimack College, serving as Program Director for the Speech, Language & Learning program. She is a licensed and certified bilingual speech-language pathologist with expertise in multilingual populations.
Research Interests: Rachel focuses on early language development, speech production, phonological awareness, child literacy, caregiver-child relationships, and multilingual communication. Her work includes curriculum development for over 20 college courses addressing diversity in communication sciences.
Key Publications: Her research explores phonological development in bilingual children, Spanish phonological awareness, and speech sound disorders. She has contributed to journals like Journal of Educational Psychology and American Journal of Speech Language Pathology.
