Racheal Rothrock

Racheal Rothrock is an Assistant Professor at Miami University (Ohio) within the Department of Teaching, Curriculum, and Educational Inquiry. She serves as a CHDLT Faculty Associate, Chair of the Graduate Literacy Committee, and Coordinator of the M.Ed. in Literacy and Language program.

Her research focuses on equity and justice in K-12 education through a sociospatial lens, examining how concepts of 'community' shape educational experiences for historically marginalized students. She integrates cultural studies and critical pedagogies into her scholarship and teaching.

The sociospatial analysis in her work highlights intersections between geography, identity, and pedagogical practices. Her 2020 publication explores Latina/Chicana embodied pedagogies of care, contributing to literature on culturally responsive education.
