Rachael Mulheron is Professor of Tort Law and Civil Justice at Queen Mary University of London’s School of Law, where she has taught since 2004. Her academic focus spans Class Actions, Tort Law, Civil Justice, and Medical Negligence, with influential work cited in jurisdictions like Australia, Canada, and Singapore.
- Appointed Ordinary Member of the Competition Appeal Tribunal (2023).

Research Interests: Mulheron’s work centers on collective redress, litigation funding, and tort law, particularly in class actions and medical negligence. Her scholarship bridges comparative analysis across jurisdictions and informs legislative reforms.
Law Reform Contributions: She chaired the MOJ/CJC Civil Litigation Review Working Party (2014–18), drafting reports on damages-based agreements, expert evidence, and BTE insurance. Her advocacy led to England’s first opt-out class action regime for competition law claims.
