Rachael Mabe

Rachael Mabe holds the role of University Teacher in Marketing, focusing on marketing communications, strategy, and sustainability marketing. She has held academic positions including Senior Lecturer at Birmingham City University, De Montfort University, and Coventry University. Currently, she serves as an External Examiner for the University of Central Lancashire and the University of Lincoln, and is a Trustee for the Shine Multi Academy Group in Nottinghamshire.

Rachael graduated with a BSc (Hons) from Loughborough University in 2000. Her career began in industry, including a role as Company Director of a digital agency, where she won the CIM Public Sector Campaign of the Year Award (2011) for the Shine campaign.

Rachael’s research interests center on sustainability marketing, pedagogical innovation, and the integration of digital tools into education. Her publications explore topics such as embedding sustainability in curricula and leveraging platforms like Slack to enhance collaborative learning and feedback processes.

Rachael has been recognized with the CIM Public Sector Campaign of the Year Award and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. She is also a Chartered Management Business Educator, Apple Teacher, and HubSpot Accredited Educator.

She champions employability and sustainability in marketing education, emphasizing active learning and industry-relevant skills. Her professional memberships include the Academy of Marketing and the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
