Rachael Houston, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Texas Christian University (TCU), affiliated with AddRan College. Her expertise lies in judicial politics, U.S. Supreme Court dynamics, and constitutional law. Houston holds a Ph.D. and M.A. from the University of Minnesota and a B.A. from Coastal Carolina University. She teaches courses such as Constitutional Law: Powers and Rights & Liberties, as well as Judicial Politics and Introduction to Public Law.
Her research focuses on media influence on judicial processes, partisan perceptions of Supreme Court confirmations, and electoral engagement strategies in academic settings. Notable works include studies on interest group advertisements during confirmations and the impact of C-SPAN broadcasts on public engagement with oral arguments. Houston’s work also explores legal interpretations of border policies and the Fourteenth Amendment’s application in regional contexts.
