Rachael Cate is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Oregon State University's College of Engineering. She joined the professional faculty in 2016 and focuses on engineering communication instruction, particularly supporting students through senior capstone projects and industry stakeholder engagement. Her role also involves program development, research, and implementation in engineering communication.

Research interests include social justice pedagogies, diversity/equity/inclusion initiatives in higher education, service learning, program leadership, and qualitative research. She collaborates on studies about leadership skill development and tools for integrated engineering-communication courses.
