Rabah Amir

Rabah Amir is the J. Edward Lundy Professor of Economics at the University of Iowa's Tippie College of Business. He holds a PhD and BS in Economics and Systems Theory from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. His research focuses on game theory, industrial organization, public economics, and environmental policy. He has contributed significantly to understanding strategic interactions in oligopolistic markets, network effects, and public health policies.

Amir has been recognized with prestigious awards, including Fellow of the Game Theory Society (2021) and Economic Theory Fellow (2011). He has served as editor or associate editor for journals like Economic Theory, Journal of Public Economic Theory, and Games and Economic Behavior.

His work explores topics such as vaccine market policies, trade dynamics in Cournot oligopolies, and the implications of risk aversion in crime games.
