Prof. Raad Raad is a Professor and Head of School at the School of Electrical, Computer and Telecommunications Engineering, University of Wollongong. With over 25 years of research experience, he specializes in wireless communications, CubeSat systems, antenna design, and IoT. He leads the ARC Training Hub for Future Grids (2021–2026) and the ARC Innovation Hub for Health Sensors (2021–2026).
Education:
- Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering (First Class Honours, University of Wollongong, 1997)
- PhD in Neuro-Fuzzy Logic Admission Control in Cellular Mobile Networks (University of Wollongong)
Research Interests:
His work focuses on antenna design for 5G/IoT, wireless power transfer, machine learning applications in communications, and CubeSat technology. Notable contributions include patents in industrial automation and high-impact publications in IEEE journals. Current projects explore wearable antennas and body-effect mitigation.
