RAMON ANGEL BOUZAS LORENZO

Ramón Ángel Bouzas Lorenzo is a Full Professor at the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC), affiliated with the Department of Political Science and Sociology. He served as Dean of the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences at USC from 2017 to 2024, and held visiting professorships at prestigious institutions including the Goldman School of Public Policy (UC Berkeley), the London School of Economics, and the University of Bologna. His expertise spans digital government, public management, and institutional change.

Education: Doctor in Political Science and Public Administration from USC (1999), with a thesis titled Organizational analysis of the administration of an autonomous community: Xunta de Galicia 1982-1997, supervised by Dr. Ramón Máiz Suárez.

Research focuses on ICT's impact on public management processes, digital inclusion, and gender policy. He has led competitive research projects as principal investigator and contributed to over a dozen universities in Latin America and Central Asia. Active in university governance, his roles included overseeing teaching, internationalization, and degree programs.

Affiliated with the Institute of Studies and Development of Galicia (IDEGA) and the ISOPOLIS research group on social research and public policies, as well as the Political Analysis research team.
