Quisto Settle is an Associate Professor in the Department of Agricultural Education, Communication & Leadership at Oklahoma State University (OSU), affiliated with the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources (CASNR). He holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Education and Communication from the University of Florida (2012), an M.S. in Agricultural Communications from Texas Tech University (2008), and a B.S. in Animal Sciences from Angelo State University (2007). Prior to OSU, he served as an Assistant Professor at Mississippi State University (2014–2017) and held a postdoctoral position at the University of Florida’s Center for Public Issues Education (2013–2014).
- Research Interests: Focus on science communication, curriculum design in agricultural education, branding strategies in agriculture, crisis communication, and program evaluation. His work bridges theory and practice, emphasizing applied research in agricultural communication pedagogy and stakeholder engagement.
- Teaching: Instructs courses like Advanced Science Communication Practices, Audio/Video Storytelling in Agricultural Communications, and Crisis Communication in Agricultural Sciences. He advises students in the Environmental Science Policy option and mentors graduate research.
- Grants: Secured funding for initiatives such as the Science Communication Academy for OSU graduate students (2022–2026), experiential learning in science communication (2019–2022), and multi-disciplinary training in omics for food science (2021–2026).
