Quinn Alexandria Hunter is an Assistant Professor specializing in sculpture and performance art, utilizing hair and the African American female body as primary materials. Her work explores themes of historical erasure, cultural memory, and the labor of Black women in domestic and contemporary spaces.
- MFA in Sculpture + Expanded Practice, Ohio University
- Post-Baccalaureate in Ceramics, Virginia Commonwealth University
- BFA in New Media and Design, University of North Carolina at Greensboro
Her practice confronts the invisibility of historic and contemporary labor performed by African American women, using material resistance to reinscribe erased narratives into physical spaces. Hunter has exhibited nationally and received recognition for her contributions to art and culture.
