Qingna Zhou is a Lecturer in International Business at Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester. She serves as PMO Comparative & International Business and is affiliated with the Manchester China Institute and Global Development Institute. Her research focuses on Digital Development, International Business, and China's Digital Expansion in the Global South. She holds a PhD and has contributed to UN Sustainable Development Goals through her work.
Her research explores topics like China's digital influence in developing countries, digital transformation principles, and rural enterprise innovation. Recent articles analyze systemic challenges in digital development and frameworks for open innovation. She co-edited a 2024 book on China’s digital expansion and received the 2019 REBDC Prize for PGR Publication. Zhou co-chaired the 2021 Development Studies Association conference and has supervised research on rural innovation in Fujian Province.
