Dr. Qinfeng "Sarah" Liu is a Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical and Clinical Sciences at Campbell University's College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences, where she has been since 2008. She holds a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Toledo (2005) and completed postdoctoral training in Biochemistry at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, focusing on human proteomic markers for type 2 diabetes and lung cancer.
Dr. Liu teaches multiple courses, including PHSC220/220L Quantitative Laboratory Techniques, PHSC410 Analytical Instrumentation, and advanced topics like PSCI650 Advanced Chromatography. She also advises MS students on research proposals and projects.
Her research focuses on molecular biomarker discovery for disease diagnosis, drug formulation/delivery, and pharmacology/toxicology using analytical methods such as mass spectrometry, chromatography, and capillary electrophoresis. Her work integrates bioanalysis, proteomics, and recombinant protein expression.
Dr. Liu's lab is located in Room 107-E of the Science Building at Campbell University. She has published extensively on topics ranging from lung cancer biomarkers to electrochemical sensor development for methanol.
