Dr. Qiang Xu is a Senior Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering at the School of Computing and Engineering, University of Huddersfield. He is affiliated with the Centre for Precision Technologies and the Centre for Thermofluids, Energy Systems, and High-Performance Computing. Dr. Xu holds a PhD from the University of Birmingham (1997) and has extensive experience in creep damage mechanics, computational modeling, and machine learning applications. His research focuses on material degradation, software development, and interdisciplinary applications in engineering and education.
