Mr. Pu Chen is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Accounting, Economics and Finance, Curtin University. Previously, he held positions including Senior Lecturer at Bielefeld University (1991–2007), Acting Chair Professor at Rostock University (2007–2008), Senior Research Fellow at Melbourne University (2008–2010), and Senior Lecturer at Melbourne Institute of Technology (2011–2024). His research focuses on econometrics and quantitative methods, with a particular emphasis on macroeconomic modeling, financial stress analysis, and regime-switching dynamics. He teaches courses in Business Statistics, Econometrics, Data Analytics, and Economics.
Key research contributions include studies on wage-price dynamics, financial market spillovers, and the impact of productivity on unemployment. His work often employs advanced econometric techniques such as Vector Error Correction Models (VECM), Threshold VAR, and Multi-Regime Cointegrated VAR (MRCIVAR). He has contributed to the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, Studies in Nonlinear Dynamics and Econometrics, and Journal of Macroeconomics, among others. Pu Chen holds a DR. REP. POL.
