Priska Falin is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Aalto University's School of Arts, Design and Architecture, affiliated with the Department of Design. Her research focuses on contemporary ceramics, aesthetic processes, and practice-led methodologies, emphasizing material innovation and sustainability. She holds a Doctoral degree in Arts and Design from Aalto University (2022), a Master's from the University of Art and Design Helsinki (2009), and a Bachelor's in Ceramics from the Taideteollinen Korkeakoulu (2007).
Her work bridges artistic practice with academic research, exploring topics like geopolymers in ceramics, material agency, and collaborative studio practices. Notable achievements include the 'Best Family Event Award 2018' and curatorial roles in exhibitions such as 'Crafting Alternatives: Depths of the Reindeer Bone' (2025).
