Priska Büeler is a full-time Lecturer at the Lucerne School of Engineering and Architecture (HSLU), part of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering and Energy Technology (IME). Her teaching focuses on materials engineering and technical mechanics, complemented by research in sustainable materials and circular economy principles. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from HTA Fribourg (2016) and a master’s in Product Development from Chalmers University of Technology (2018).
Her professional experience includes roles as a project engineer at DT Swiss AG and research mechanical engineer at Michelin Recherche et Technique, specializing in sustainable transportation solutions. Since 2023, she has led research projects like SwissSTES PIT/CCMS, H-eat, and Landfillplastics recycling initiatives. She is affiliated with the Competence Center for Thermal Energy Storage (CCTES) and contributes to innovation boosters in energy labs.
Her work emphasizes sustainability assessments, CO2 reduction strategies, and thermal energy storage technologies. Key projects include reducing emissions in Zurich brick factories and advancing AI applications for energy efficiency. She actively participates in industry-academia collaborations, such as the 'Plastics for Zero Emission' workshop.
