Preston Scott Cohen is the Gerald M. McCue Professor in Architecture and Director of the Master in Architecture II Program at Harvard University's Graduate School of Design (GSD). He is also the founding principal of Preston Scott Cohen, Inc., a globally recognized architecture firm specializing in complex geometries and urban integration. His work spans cultural institutions, educational facilities, and urban designs, emphasizing innovative forms and materiality.
Rewarded with prestigious honors like the Progressive Architecture Award and multiple international competition prizes, Cohen's research focuses on parametric design and theoretical architecture. His theoretical essays and books, including Contested Symmetries, explore pedagogical strategies and spatial innovation. Cohen has held academic roles at Princeton University, Ohio State University, and UCLA, and has lectured globally at venues like the Venice Biennale.
