Preeti Zanwar, PhD, MPH, MS is a Lecturer at the Jefferson College of Population Health, Thomas Jefferson University. She holds affiliations with interdisciplinary centers including the Center for Population Health & Aging (CPHA), the Center for Health Systems & Design (Texas A&M), and the Network on Life Course Health Dynamics and Disparities (NLCHDD) at USC. Her expertise spans health economics, health equity, and outcomes research with a focus on aging populations and viral infection outcomes.

Research Interests: Dr. Zanwar explores socio-economic pathways to cognitive aging, healthcare cost modeling for multimorbidity, and disparities in preventive care access. She investigates long-term outcomes of viral infections like COVID-19 and advocates for age-friendly policies through interdisciplinary collaboration. Her work integrates molecular virology insights with public health strategies for equitable care delivery.
Grants & Mentoring: Contributed to $9M in grants (including $442K direct attribution), mentoring minority scholars, and serving on federal review committees (NIA, NIH). She designs online courses in health economics and epidemiology while leading grant proposals on aging and health systems.
Labs/Networks: Active in the National Science Foundation’s PIPP initiative, the NMRI COVID-19 Research Network, and the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine’s Frailty Rehabilitation Task Force. Serves on academic conference committees and journals’ editorial boards.
