Predrag Đoković is an Associate Professor at the Academy of Music, University of East Sarajevo, teaching at the Department of Church Music and Singing since 2011. He holds a PhD in Musicology from the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, with a dissertation on the influence of the European Early Music Movement on Serbian performance practices. His work spans three core areas: pedagogy, musicology, and performance, focusing on Serbian church music and Western early music.
- Education: Graduated in General Music Pedagogy from Belgrade, completed postgraduate studies in Early Music at Trinity College of Music (London), and earned a Master's and PhD in Musicology from Novi Sad and Belgrade.
Research interests include liturgical singing, early music interpretation, and the synthesis of pedagogical and performance practices. He contributed to significant publications like the revised Osmoglasnik and Katavasije collections, and his radio series 'School of Church Chanting' promotes liturgical music education. Đoković has conducted workshops and seminars internationally, emphasizing polyphonic singing and liturgical traditions.
His artistic work involves early Western European music performances as a countertenor and with ensembles like Renaissance. He has also held roles at the Theological Seminary in Sremski Karlovci and led singing schools in New Belgrade and Vienna.
