Praveen Gupta is an Adjunct Professor at the School of Global Innovation and Leadership within the Lucas College and Graduate School of Business at San José State University. He has extensive teaching experience in innovation-related courses at institutions including the University of Illinois at Chicago, Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) Chicago, and the University of Celaya, MX. His professional background includes roles as the founding Director of the Center for Innovation Science and Applications at IIT and founding Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Innovation Science. He has authored/edited influential books such as Business Innovation in the 21st Century, Global Innovation Science Handbook, and The Innovation Solution.
Professionally, Gupta has over 20 years of industry experience, with stints at Motorola and AT&T Bell Laboratories, and has consulted for numerous companies. He has delivered keynotes globally, including in Portugal, Croatia, Mexico, Spain, and across the U.S. Since relocating to Silicon Valley in 2013, he has worked at Prysm and currently works at Stephen Gould. His research and advisory work focuses on translating innovation theory into practical applications for organizations.
