Dr. Prashanti Eachempati is a Clinical Lecturer at the Peninsula Dental School, University of Plymouth, serving as Year 3 Course Lead and co-lead for the Professionalism module. With 17 years of academic experience, she previously held roles as Deputy Dean, Professor, and Head of Prosthodontics at Manipal University College Malaysia. Her expertise spans Prosthodontics, implant prosthetics, evidence-based dentistry, and health professions education. She leads Cochrane systematic reviews, with 10 published reviews and ongoing projects.
Education: Graduation and post-graduation in India, specialized training in Prosthodontics and dental education. Awards include the prestigious Ron Harden Innovation Award and GC Das Memorial Award. She has over 80 publications, 30+ awards for research presentations, and a patent in Prosthodontics.
Teaching focuses on Prosthodontics, systematic reviews, and assessment strategies. She trains educators via Cochrane Malaysia and chairs the Cochrane Priority Setting Methods Group. Her research emphasizes clinical innovation and educational methodologies.
