Prasanthi Ramakrishnan

Prasanthi Ramakrishnan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Southern Methodist University. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Washington University in St. Louis, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and a B.A. from the University of Delhi. Her research examines gender disparities, marriage dynamics, labor market behavior, and retirement planning using advanced econometric techniques.

Her work has received funding from the Boston College Center for Retirement Research and the Social Security Administration. She teaches Labor Economics and applies empirical methods to study how economic policies affect household decision-making and inequality.
