Pradip Saud is an Assistant Professor at the University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM), affiliated with the College of Forestry, Agriculture & Natural Resources (CFANR). His expertise lies in forest biometrics and applied statistics in natural resource management. He holds a B.S. in Forestry from Tribhuvan University (Nepal, 2006), M.S. in Forest Resources from West Virginia University (USA, 2011), and a Ph.D. in Forest Biometrics from Oklahoma State University (USA, 2015).
Dr. Saud’s research focuses on quantifying growth and yield variations in shortleaf pine and other southern pine stands, particularly under environmental gradients and silvicultural treatments. His work addresses contemporary challenges such as climate stress impacts, ice-storm damage modeling, forest fuel dynamics, and wildlife habitat optimization. He utilizes long-term experimental data and predictive statistical methods to advance sustainable forest management practices.
Teaching interests include biometrics applications in natural resources, predictive statistics, and comparative statistical analysis. His research integrates quantitative methodologies to evaluate forest structure, productivity, and ecological responses to management interventions.
