Dr. Prabir Sarker is a Professor in the School of Civil and Mechanical Engineering at Curtin University. His research focuses on sustainable construction materials, geopolymer concrete, and waste utilization in civil engineering applications.
He investigates alternative binders like lithium slag and ferronickel slag to develop eco-friendly concrete with improved durability. His work includes optimizing 3D printed concrete mixtures with recycled aggregates and evaluating performance of geopolymer concrete under impact loading.
Dr. Sarker has received professional recognition as a Fellow of Engineers Australia and Chartered Professional Engineer. His publications appear in leading journals including Construction and Building Materials and Cement and Concrete Composites.
