Porochista Khakpour

Porochista Khakpour is a Lecturer at Purchase College's School of Humanities, recognized for her literary contributions and academic engagements. She has taught at Bard College, Johns Hopkins University, and other institutions, and contributes literary criticism columns to VQR. Her affiliation with Purchase College includes participation in the 2017-2018 Durst Distinguished Lecture Series.

Her works include the novels Sons and Other Flammable Objects (2007, New York Times 'Editor’s Choice', California Book Award winner) and The Last Illusion (2014, widely praised), along with a forthcoming memoir Sick.
