Pooya Ghoddousi is an LSE Fellow in Human Geography at the Department of Geography and Environment, London School of Economics. His academic journey began after working as an architect in Tehran and Dubai, where his disillusion with unsustainable urban development led him to study nomadism and transnational assemblages. He holds a master’s from LSE and a PhD from UCL, focusing on Iranian diasporic communities in London. His research integrates Deleuze’s philosophy and Ibn Khaldun’s theories to explore identity, belonging, and collective action.
**Research Interests**: Migration; Urbanization; Development; Assemblage Theory; Nomadism; Cultural Geography; Political Geography. His work bridges theory and activism, particularly through participatory research with pastoral nomads in Iran and diasporic communities in London.
