Poornika Ananth is an Assistant Professor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Bath School of Management. She holds a PhD from University College London (UCL) and is an Honorary Research Associate there. Her research focuses on creativity dynamics in organizations, qualitative methods, and policy applications in sustainable design. She conducted a 2024 academic secondment with the UK Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government (MHCLG), advising on greener architecture policies and qualitative research methods in policymaking.
Education: PhD in Organisations and Innovation from UCL.
Research Interests: Creativity in long-term projects, organizational innovation, entrepreneurship education, and the intersection of design and public policy. Her work explores how teams navigate creative tensions and develop problem-solving frameworks, with applications to sustainable architecture and policy design.
Collaborations: Co-Investigator in the Innovation Bridge Beacon project, focusing on entrepreneurship and transdisciplinary innovation. Also leads the 'Learning from the public' project on qualitative methodologies in policy consultations.
Media & Outreach: Guest on BBC Radio London, speaker at Industry and Parliament Trust events, and contributor to podcasts like 'Management Meets: Business in Culture and Arts'.
