Pooneh Lari

Pooneh Lari is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership, Policy, and Human Development at North Carolina State University. She serves as the Program Coordinator for the M.Ed. in Training and Development program. With 16 years of experience in higher education, her expertise spans instructional design, workforce development, and adult learning. She holds a Doctor of Education from NC State, a Master of Science in Instructional Design/Technology from Bloomsburg University, and a Master of Science in Human Resources from Western Carolina University.

Research & Professional Focus: Dr. Lari’s work emphasizes the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), competency-based training, organizational learning, and mentorship strategies. She designs training programs for corporate, nonprofit, and academic sectors, with a focus on adult education principles and e-learning technologies.

Advising & Partnerships: She mentors students in training and development, facilitates partnerships with organizations for real-world learning, and supports faculty development through instructional coaching. Her work includes curriculum development, change management, and leadership development initiatives.

Labs/Teams: Affiliated with the Center for Technology and Innovation and collaborates with the Friday Institute and Elevate Belk Center on projects related to educational technology and workforce training.
