Her research focuses on miscue analysis, literacy assessments, comprehension through retellings, eye movement in reading, and video-based teacher reflection. She explores how text features, peer discussions, and digital tools influence literacy learning. Her work integrates technology and pedagogy, especially through TPACK and digital video reflection frameworks.
Her recent publications (2020–2022) center on eye movement miscue analysis, video-based pedagogy discussions (face-to-face vs. online), and digital tool integration in literacy instruction. These studies examine preservice teachers’ use of digital texts, their TPACK patterns, and how video reflection enhances pedagogical learning. Her research consistently emphasizes practical applications for literacy educators.
Scientific Awards:
- Kathleen Reilly Koory Endowed Faculty Development Award (2014)
