Pirooz Mohazzabi

Dr. Pirooz Mohazzabi is a Professor of Physics at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside's Mathematics And Physics Department. He holds a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley (1975), alongside an MS (1972) and a Bachelor's in Chemistry (1969). His career includes over 35 years at UW-Parkside, where he transitioned from Assistant Professor (1986) to Full Professor (1994).

His research spans theoretical and computational physics, with over 100 publications across physics, chemistry, mathematics, geology, engineering, and medicine. Key interests include thermodynamics of nanosystems, computational simulations (Monte Carlo/molecular dynamics), and pedagogical innovations in STEM education.
