Piotr Kulicki

Prof. Piotr Kulicki is a Professor at the Department of Computer Science within the Faculty of Philosophy at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. He holds a PhD in Philosophy from the same institution (2000) and studied computing science at Oxford University (1994-1995). His primary research focuses on formal logic (particularly deontic logic and logic of names), quantum information processing, applied ontology, artificial intelligence, and logic programming.

Key achievements include developing deontic action logics, formalizing ethical frameworks for autonomous systems, and pioneering quantum-secured blockchain protocols. He has presented at international conferences like the Lublin Logic Conference and conducted research visits at institutions such as the University of New Hampshire and Alma Mater Research Center in Italy. He serves on the editorial board of Studia Logica and actively contributes to interdisciplinary projects linking formal methods with agriculture and ethics.
