Pingle Wang is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Naveen Jindal School of Management, University of Texas at Dallas. His primary research focuses on empirical asset pricing, mutual funds, and investor attention. He holds a PhD in Finance from the University of Rochester (2020), an MSc in Finance from Washington University in St. Louis (2014), and a BSc in Mathematics from the University of New Mexico (2012).
His research explores topics such as return-chasing behavior in 401(k) plans, portfolio pumping strategies in mutual fund families, and the use of derivatives and securities lending by mutual funds. He has published in top journals like the Journal of Financial Economics and Review of Financial Studies, with notable works analyzing ESG fund commitment and historical market dynamics.
Wang’s work frequently bridges empirical finance with practical implications for investment strategies and regulatory policies. His current projects include studies on liquidity fragility in bond funds and the informational role of EDGAR filings.
